My name is Anja and I live with my husband Bert, son Jack, 3 dogs, 2 cats and a few Miniature Horses in Lijnden, near Amsterdam. Dream Catchers Mini Horses began in 2000 with Silly. We have always had ponies, but because of her we came in de minature horse world. One of our ponies are not accepted her foal (mini appaloosa x welsh) and I raised her with the bottle. She grew into a beautiful miniature horse, so beautiful that we decided to go with her to the Dutch Studbook for Miniature Horses (NMPRS) where she became a three times champion in the basic type! Meanwhile we are a number of years and more horses further, but Silly Fairy and her daughter are still there. The other horses are all American Miniature Horses (AMHA). Movement is high on my priority list but I also want of course a good conformation, a sweet character and, most importantly, a look! With all of that a nice colour makes it all finished for me .. One huge challenge that is, what keeps me busy every day but the results are great if I may say so....see for yourself on this website!
